Out And About In The Community
In recent months the Tigers staff has had the opportunity to take part in a few fun events in the New London area. These events have been a great way to have fun while also promoting the Tigers in the community. In some cases, we were even able to help raise money for a great cause.
On February 20th, members of the staff took part in the Special Olympics of Connecticut Penguin Plunge at Ocean State Beach in New London. The SOCT has become a great partner of the Tigers, so we were happy to take part and help raise funds. In all, over 400 people registered and SOCT was able to raise over $70,000! It was also great to get down to Ocean Beach Park, who we will be partnering with this spring and summer as well. Look for the Tigers to have a presence down by the water, as well as them here at the ballpark! The water was just as cold as you would imagine. As the SOCT put it, we were “Freezin’ For A Reason!”

Another event the Tigers took part in was the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New London on March 17th. This was a great way for our staff to interact with fans. Children and adults along the parade route were given C.T. the Tiger baseball cards to get autographed, as well as Tigers merchandise and other items. It was a fun way for our staff to show our support of the Southeastern Connecticut community!

Welcome to the Connecticut Tigers Front Office!
We’ve been talking about starting a blog for some time now, so here it is! Be sure to check back often as we’ll be updating it to give our fans a chance to see what we do during the offseason (no, we don’t all winter in Florida!) and what it’s like during a NY-Penn League season.
Here’s a little introduction to the front office staff and where we work. Once the weather takes a turn for the better our office becomes the entire stadium, especially when we have home games.

Leading Off (in no particular order): VP of Operations, CJ Knudsen
