Name the Blog Contest: Winner Submission

Earlier this year, the Tigers had a contest to name the Blog.  As part of his prize package, John Thorp, the winner of the contest, got to submit content to the blog that he named.

John’s submission is below.

I awoke this morning with a start remembering that today was another day that I would be given the privilege of watching the Connecticut Tigers play a game that brings back wonderful memories of this old man’s youth, the smell of the fresh cut grass and the popcorn popping. So feeling like a twenty something again, I walk through the gate and make my way to my throne for an evening of watching young men do something for the love of the game and not just for a paycheck. I witness some of the greatest baseball available in Southern Connecticut. Thank-you to the Connecticut Tigers for making an old man feel like a kid again. Go Tigers!
